Elva Marie Denney

Elva Marie Denney, age 82, of Beaver, Ohio, died Friday June 3, 2016 at the Adena-Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. She was born August 19, 1933 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Charlie and Clarenda Jenkins Roark. Mrs. Denney was united in marriage on July 6, 1952 to her husband, Rev. Arnold Ray Denney, who preceded her in death October 31, 2003. Surviving are one daughter, Robin Lynn (Steve) Dean of Piketon, Ohio and one son, Danny Ray Denney of Beaver, Ohio. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Russell O. Roark and two sisters, Roxie Wheeler and Belva Roark. Mrs. Denney had given her heart to the Lord at a young age and was a member of various churches in which her husband pastored over the years. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday June 8, 2016 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Bro. Charley Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Givens Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Tuesday June 7, 2016 at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the many special friends and caregivers who provided wonderful care and support.
