Eloise Marcum

Eloise Marcum, age 78, of Waverly, Ohio, died Wednesday June 21, 2023 at her residence. She was born June 3, 1945 in Kermit, West Virginia. She was united in marriage May 3, 1974 to her husband, John B. Marcum, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mary (Charles) Shalosky of Groveport, Ohio and Melinda (Joey) Marcum-Thornsberry of Beaver, Ohio, six grandchildren, Robert (Jessica) Shalosky, Christopher (Courtney) Shalosky, Chase (Sarah) Grimes, Robby (Hannah) Warnock, Hunter (Mary) Thornsberry, and Levi Thornsberry, five great-grandchildren, Daniel Thornsberry, Lincoln Warnock, Aubree Grimes, Layla Shalosky, and Aria Shalosky, two sisters, Lois (David) DeGarmore of Springlake, North Carolina and Wilma (Dan) Harder of Daytona Beach, Florida, one brother, Earl (Mary) Spaulding of Hernando, Florida, numerous nieces and nephews, and her work family from the Simmons Mattress Factory. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Virginia Evans, Stella Spaulding, and Janice Spaulding (infant), and one brother, Christopher Spaulding.

Eloise was employed as an industrial seamstress with the Simmons Mattress Factory for 34 years.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 24, 2023 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Jay Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 5-8:00 P.M. Friday June 23, 2023 at the funeral home.
