Elizabeth "libby" Jackson

Elizabeth "Libby" Jackson, age 76, of Beaver, Ohio, died Friday August 30, 2013 at the Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon, Ohio. She was born December 26, 1936 in London, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence Cooper and Arzella Wilson Herman. Mrs. Jackson was united in marriage January 30, 1954 to her husband, Leonard Jackson, who preceded her in death February 10, 2011. Surviving are three sons, Raymond "Harry" (Marianna) Jackson, David "George" Jackson, and Jeffrey "Gus" (Troyetta) Jackson, all of Beaver, Ohio, two daughters, Debbie (Sonny) Wallace and Larinza Jackson, both of Beaver, Ohio, twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, four brothers, Clarence Cooper Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, Larry Cooper, Raymond Cooper, and Dean Herman, all of London, Ohio, six sisters, Vivian Price of Columbus, Ohio, Josephine Artist and Deloris Fyre, both of London, Ohio, Renee Willis of Xenia, Ohio, and Rosella Cooper and Reina Jones, both of Springfield, Ohio, and a special friend and caretaker, Cynthia "Turtle" Blevins of Beaver, Ohio. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Gary Jackson and three brothers, Robert Cooper, Curtis Cooper and Richard Lee Cooper. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Turn Point Ministries Church. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday September 5, 2013 at the Liberty Valley A.M.E. Church on Carrs Run Rd. with Pastor Steve Niber officiating. Burial will follow in the Carrs Run Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Wednesday September 4, 2013 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio and from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service Thursday at the church.
