Douglas "Mack" Whited

Douglas “Mack” Whited, age 81, of Beaver, Ohio, died Saturday October 21, 2023 at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born April 28, 1942 in Swords Creek, Virginia, a son of the late Glenn Whited and Flora Owens Whited. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Gay Smith Whited on May 26, 2023. Surviving are his daughter, Patricia Kaye Whited of Springfield, Ohio, a step-daughter, Patty Schillings of Beaver, Ohio, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, three brothers, Garland (Dorothy) Whited of Naples, Florida, Charlie (Janette) Whited of Circleville, Ohio, and John Whited of Jackson, Ohio, five sisters, Barb (David) Weimer of Jackson, Ohio, Bonnie (Bill) Weimer of Williamsport, Ohio, Dora Nicodemus of Circleville, Ohio, Nannie White of Decatur, Tennessee, and Kathy (Bill) Harsh of Plumwood, Ohio, numerous nieces and nephews, and a childhood friend who was always at their home, Kevin Finch of Mechanicsburg, Ohio. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna Martin and Corinna Miller, one son, Thomas Whited, and one brother, Kyle Whited.

Mack was a hard worker and was dedicated to helping others. He loved hunting and being outdoors, and very much enjoyed spending his time with his Amish friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday October 28, 2023 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
