Dorothy Bapst Obituary
Dorothy "Dot" Ellen Evans Bapst, age 80, of Beaver, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born April 3, 1936, in Beaver, Ohio, a daughter of the late Otto Evans and Anna Stoll Evans Woolum. Dot was united in marriage June 26, 1955, to her husband, Maxie Lee Bapst, who preceded her in death May 8, 2009. Surviving are her children, Kim (Gary) Wiseman of Beaver, Ohio, Ann (Walter) McCaleb of Beaver, Ohio, Kevin Bapst of Texas, Brett (Jen) Bapst of Washington C.H., Ohio and Jan Bapst Nolen of Beaver, Ohio, thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, three sisters, Marie (Daniel) Overly of Whitehall, Ohio, Joyce (Carl) Slone of Beaver, Ohio and Nancy (Lew) Schrader of Beaver, Ohio, sister-in-law, Trish (Roger) Wiseman of Beaver, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Dot was a life-long Mother and homemaker. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio, with Pastor Rodney Bapst officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8:00 P.M. Monday, January 9, 2017, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Garnet A. Wilson Public Library, 207 N. Market St., Waverly, Ohio 45690.
