Doris Jene Norvell

Doris Jene Norvell, of Jackson, Ohio went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 2, 2015. She was born on March 25, 1943 in Xenia, Ohio to Perry Otis Varvel and Kathedra Faye (Louderback) Varvel. She married the love of her life, Max Norvell, Sr. on July 28, 1960 and together they had seven children. She was preceded in death by her parents, numerous siblings, her husband, and two of her children, Sherry Lynn Norvell and Charles Albert Norvell and also by her granddaughter, Leah Lynn Norvell and a great-granddaughter Skyla Rose Smith. She is survived by her brother, Dail R. (Rose) Varvel, her sister, Dianna F. (Gary) McCutcheon, sons Dail Perry (Rose) Norvell, Max (Jan) Norvell, Jr. and Eric Lee Norvell and by daughters Teresa Dawn (Greg) Ford and Kristy Faye (Clyde) Spencer and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Hixon, as well as 25 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces and quite an extended family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed by all. We will count the days until we see her again. Viewing hours will be on Thursday, August 6 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm with the service immediately following at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home, 5856 Beaver Pike, Beaver, Ohio with the Reverend Gary Scurlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Ridge Cemetery.
