Diana Gayle (Satterfield) Johnson

Diana Gayle Johnson, 53, of Waverly, Ohio, went to be with the Lord June 14, 2024. She was born April 7, 1971 to Marvin and Ida Satterfield, who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Freddie Johnson on October 14, 1995, who survives. She leaves behind her sister, Stephanie (Mark) Remy of Waverly, two nieces, Tiffany (Dillon) Garrett of Waverly and Cassady Remy of New York, two great-nieces, Ariel and Lila and her beloved fur baby Gizmo, as well as a host of close friends and special cousins. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Fred and Phyllis Johnson, her grandparents Donald and Elizabeth Richardson, Jesse and Edith Satterfield, Uncle Floyd Richardson and Aunt Janet Cox.

Diana Gayle graduated from Piketon High School in 1989 and earned her associate degree in Paralegal Studies at Shawnee State University. She was employed at Pike County Common Pleas Court and formerly at Moraleja Law Office. She always had a smile on her face, had a sense of humor and enjoyed great conversations with everyone she met. She loved teaching Vacation Bible School at Hamman Church and helping others when needed.

Services will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2024 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. and funeral services being held at 12:00 noon with special cousin Keith Richardson officiating. Burial will be held following the service at the Hamman Church Cemetery at Zahn’s Corner.
