Delmas “Bud” Wiseman, age 77, of Jackson, Ohio, died Wednesday March 9, 2022 at his residence. He was born October 15, 1944 in Vinton County, Ohio, a son of the late Delmar Wiseman and Mayrune Patton Wiseman. He was united in marriage October 15, 1994 to his wife, Edith Strong Wiseman, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Kara (Scott) Baker of Lake Worth, Florida, Steve Wiseman of Clinton, Tennessee, Krista (Carl Jr.) Foltz of Friendsville, Tennessee, and Will “Jock” (Amy) Scott of McArthur, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Cody Baker, Kayla Baker, Brittany Foltz, Carl Foltz III, Chelsie (Jacob) Leslie, Alysha Scott, and Rob Scott, five great-grandchildren, Sawyer Foltz, Devan Leslie, Addisyn Leslie, Braxton Scott, and Brylee Scott, three brothers, Gary (Cheryl) Wiseman of Hamden, Ohio, Terry (Vicki) Wiseman of Hamden, Ohio, and Brent (Jayne) Wiseman of Buckeye Lake, Ohio, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Linda Strong of Beaver, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Wiseman and Dorothy Newman.
Bud attended the Puritan Baptist Church in Hamden, Ohio. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in Vietnam and was a long standing member of the American Legion Post #371 in Wellston, Ohio.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday March 14, 2022 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Jamie Fortner officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
