Danny L. Helton

Danny Leon Helton, 69, of Beaver, Ohio passed away peacefully and went to be with The Lord on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
He was born on June 6, 1953 in Pike County, Ohio son of the late Joe and Roxie Helton.
Danny is survived by his loving and devoted wife of forty-four years, Shirley Gullett Helton, whom he married on August 26, 1977, and their two children, Tessie (Brian) Malone of Waverly, Ohio. Jessica (Jet) White and Scott DeWeese of Beaver, Ohio. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Blake Malone, Rylee Helton, Skylar White, Jace White, and Crosby DeWeese; one sister, Shirlene Helton; three brothers, Gerald Helton, Randall Helton, and Wendell (Sandra) Helton, mother-in-law, Anna Sue Gullett, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Frank Gullett; his brothers, Willie Phipps, Johnny Phipps, and David Helton; his four nephews, Tim Phipps, Anthony Phipps, Jeremy Henry, and Justin Helton; one niece, Anita Phipps, and three sisters-in-law, Claudette Phipps, Judy Phipps, and Valerie Helton.
Danny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His greatest joy in life came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Danny loved life and loved his church family, where he attended Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church.
The family would like to thank everyone for all of their prayers and comforting words during Danny’s battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 at Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church with ministers Emerson Montgomery, Dan Ison, and Huey Rigsby officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery on Germany Road. Friends may call at Cox Burkitt Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
