Daniel Marion Sparks

Daniel M. Sparks, age 78, completed his earthly journey and went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 26th, 2025.  He was surrounded by his loving family who will always remember what a wonderful person he was.  Danny, as he was known to his family and friends, was born June 17, 1946, in Ashland, KY to Marion (Till) and Virginia (King) Sparks.

He was a long-standing member of the Bethel Ridge Free Will Baptist Church where he served a Trustee and Sunday School teacher and led many people to Christ.  He was also a founding member of the Scioto Township Volunteer Fire Department where he served as Assistant Fire Chief for 22 years. He retired from the Good Year Tire and Rubber Company with 34 years of service.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and his older brother Gary Sparks. Danny is survived by his wife of 58 years Linda (Rose) Sparks as well as his five children: Michael A. Sparks, Roberta (Craig) McDowell, Rebecca (Frank) Mammana, Timothy (Katie) Sparks and Justin Sparks. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren:  Austin Sparks, Christian and Evan Mammana, Asia and Cheyenne Sparks, and Taylin, Walker, and Wesson Harmon, sister Karen (Mike) Osborne and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his faithful four-legged friend Taco.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday April 30, 2025 at the Bethel Ridge Freewill Baptist Church, with burial to follow at the Hannah Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
