Curtis Roger Tackett Sr.

  Curtis Roger Tackett Sr., age 79, of Piketon, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday September 16, 2018 at the Adena-Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. He was born August 31, 1939 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, a son of the late Tony and Rose Salyers Tackett. He was united in marriage May 12, 1971 to his wife, Daisy M Sherrick Tackett, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Kathryn Tackett of Bucyrus, Ohio, Connie Howard of Cardington, Ohio, Curtiss Tackett Jr. of Piketon, Ohio, Steven Tackett of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Carolyn Tackett of Colorado, Kevin Amos of Circleville, Ohio, and Jill Ross of Chillicothe, Ohio, thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Estelle Redden of Piketon, Ohio and Patricia Ward of Waverly, Ohio, one brother, Johnnie Tackett of Minford, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
