Charles Ross Obituary
Charles R. Ross, 72, lost his fight with cancer and went on to be with the Lord on March 20, 2017 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born August 4, 1944 in East Lynn, West Virginia a son of Mazel Adkins Ross of Piketon, Ohio and the late Roy E. Ross. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Ross and a sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl (David) Cox. Charles was married to Rinda Isaac Ross and they had a blessed life, winding up as business owners of a thriving auto dealership until his retirement in 2013. Charles was also a member of the Givens Freewill Baptist Church where he pastored for many years. Charles is survived by his loving family, wife Rinda Isaac Ross, mother Mazel Adkins Ross, children Tammie (Ralph) Willis of Kingston, Ohio, Terri (Jeff) Chain of Kingston, Ohio, Troy (Danyel McKenzie) Ross of Chillicothe, Ohio, Charles "Tracy" (Angie Bandy) Ross of Waverly, Ohio, Russell "Rusty" (Connie Tackett) Burton of Waverly, Ohio, Jeff (Tammy Huntington) Burton of Circleville, Ohio, brothers, Galen (Pam Roosa) Ross of Beaver, Ohio, Blaine (Jeannie Rigsby) Ross of Piketon, Ohio, Howard Patrick (Shelly Rigsby) Ross of Piketon, Ohio, sister-in-law JoAnn Ross of Piketon, Ohio, grandchildren, Alesia Colburn, Brandy (Richard) McQuirt, Jessica Chain, Robert (Laken Thomas) Chain, Holly Chain, Roy Dean Ross, Alex Ross, Levi Ross, Breanna Carroll, Gracie Ross, Emily Ross, Dusty Shewalter, Riley Burton, Cole Burton, Rhianna Burton, Cassidy Burton, Cade Burton, great-granddaughter Alexis Shewalter, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday March 24, 2017 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Elder Danny Wooten and Pastor Rob Anderson officiating Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8:00 P.M. Thursday March 23, 2017 at the funeral home.
