Charles Linden Montgomery

Charles Linden Montgomery, 70, of Adams Rd., Beaver, Ohio, died January 29, 2012 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Kentucky. He was born September 23, 1941 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Onie (Rigsby) Montgomery. On September 24, 1962 he was united in marriage to Connie Eileen (Schilling) Montgomery, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Mike "Frog" & Sharlene and Jeff "Bee" & Shela, two daughters, Sandra Montgomery and Cindy & Kevin Parrish, three brothers, Frank, Gene and Dougie, one sister, Suedale Jones, eleven grandchildren, Cheryl (Ed) Salmen, Amy (Shawn) Woodruff, Ryan (Amy) Montgomery, Jeremy (Amber) Pryor, Andrew Montgomery, Doug (Rachel) Morton, Jacob (Ashley) Montgomery, Natathiel Montgomery, Nellie and Isaiah Parrish, eleven great-grandchildren, Andrea, Tiffany, Alvin, Cole, Tyler, Tessa, Eddie, Dylan, Drew, Ella and Jack, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Hershel, Earsel and Donald Lee, one sister, Wanda Rider, a granddaughter, Tessa Pryor, and a grandson, Brad Schneider. Charles was a member of the Old Rugged Cross Baptist Church and loved sharing God's word with everyone he met. He retired from Savko Construction with over 30 years of service as a heavy equipment operator. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday February 2, 2012 at the Cox Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Ryan Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Germany Cemetery on Germany Rd. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
