Charles Otis Maynard

Charles Otis Maynard, age 68, of Piketon, Ohio, died Tuesday January 23, 2024 at his residence.

He was born June 23, 1955 in Huntington, West Virginia, a son of the late Otis and Lenora Jervis Maynard. He was united in marriage June 1, 1980 to his wife of 43 years, Muriel Whitt Maynard, who survives. Also surviving are his children, C.J. (Miranda Garrett) Maynard of Waverly, Ohio, Martha Maynard of Chillicothe, Ohio, Kim Maynard of Columbus, Ohio, and Jennifer Maynard, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, five brothers and sisters, Charlotte (Bud) Blackburn of Jackson, Ohio, Dianna Durham of Jackson, Ohio, Deborah Immel of Jackson, Ohio, Norman (Connie) Maynard of Beaver, Ohio, and James (Tonya) Maynard of Piketon, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three daughters, Tiffany Maynard, Jessica Maynard, and Michelle Hilton, one brother, Greg Maynard, two infant sisters, Christina Maynard and Justine Maynard, his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Irene Maynard, and two brothers-in-law, Sam Immel and Chuck Durham.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday January 27, 2024 at the Beaver Union Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
