Charles Daniel Lee Lawson, age 70, of Lucasville, Ohio, died Friday August 18, 2023 at the Adena-Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. He was born July 4, 1953 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Roy and Joyce Lawson. Surviving are one daughter, Mary Rose Lawson of Wheelersburg, Ohio, five grandchildren, Montana Stein of Latham, Ohio, Dakota Carter of Lucasville, Ohio, and Matthew Chapman, Carrey Chapman, and Brandon Chapman, all of Chillicothe, Ohio, two sisters, Rhonda Lawson of Chillicothe, Ohio and Robin Farleigh of Chillicothe, Ohio, a very special friend, George Leist of Beaver, Ohio, and his former wife, Wanda Henson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Simmons and one granddaughter, Ashley Jenkins.
Charles worked in the sawmill industry throughout his life.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family in Beaver Union Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed. Cox Burkitt Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
