Charles "chuck" Durham

  Charles "Chuck" Durham, 60, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday September 19, 2020 after a brave battle with cancer surrounded by family and loved ones. Charles was born May 17, 1960 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Ora Eugene and Ruby Durham of Jackson, Ohio. Charles was preceded in death by his brother Steve Durham. Charles is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dianna Durham (Maynard), 2 children, Bryan Durham (Jennifer) of Jackson, Ohio, Ashlea Durham (Brett) of Jackson, Ohio, 4 grandchildren, Dylan Durham, Kyle Coplen, Hayley and Madison Wilt, 1 great-grandchild, Zavey Coplen, close life-long friend, Carl Ragland, 3 sisters, and 5 brothers. Charles was a dedicated Scioto Township Trustee for 27 years and a rural mail carrier for 25 years. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and farming in his spare time. Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Thursday September 24, 2020 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home with Chaplain Cameron Caseman officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Wednesday September 23, 2020 at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family requests those attending visitation and funeral services to please wear a mask.
