Carol Ann Southworth

  Carol Ann Southworth, age 68, of Owl Creek Rd., Lucasville, Ohio, died Saturday June 30, 2012 at the Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. She was born June 23, 1944, in Ross County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Emmitt and Ruth Shoemaker Walls. She was united in marriage July 1, 1966 to her husband, Jack Dean Southworth, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Luke (Tara) Southworth of Lucasville, Ohio, two grandchildren, Madison Paige Southworth and Dalton Evan Southworth, both of Lucasville, Ohio, two sisters, Pam (Richard) Vallery of Piketon, Ohio and Holly Thacker of Lucasville, Ohio, several nieces and nephews, and many loved ones and friends. Mrs. Southworth was of the Baptist Faith, worked as a beautician at Martha's Beauty Shop for over 30 years, opened and operated her own business, Carol's Beauty Shop, and was an avid bowler, receiving honored recognition when she was entered into the Portsmouth Women Bowler's Hall of Fame. Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday July 6, 2012 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Rev. Tillson Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Owl Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
