Carol Givens-eakins Obituary
Carol Sue (McKenzie) Givens-Eakins, age 79 of Waverly, Ohio, a lifetime resident, went home to our Lord on Wednesday January 16, 2019. She was born November 30, 1939 at home in Lucasville to Oscar and Hattie McKenzie. Carol was a member of the Hamman Church at Zahn's Corner and was employed at the First National Bank in Waverly, Ohio for 39 years. She is survived by her daughters, Paula Williams of Lucasville and Andrea (Darren) Hess of Waverly, a step-son, Kevin Eakins of Wilmington, Ohio, one grandson, Charles Paul Williams of Chillicothe, two granddaughters, Maria Williams of Chillicothe and Bailey Bradley of Waverly, two step-grandchildren, Kristen and Brian, a sister, Georgia Swisher of Lexington, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger Givens and her second husband, Fred Eakins, her parents Oscar and Hattie McKenzie, a son-in-law, Timothy Charles Williams, two brothers, Ed and Charles and two sisters, Geneva Enz and Joyce Cantrell Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday January 19, 2019 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Rev. Ronald Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon, Ohio. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to SOMC Hospice, 2201 25th St., Portsmouth, Ohio 45662.
