Carl Isaac Barnett

Carl Isaac Barnett, 65 was called home Monday August 9, 2021. Carl was born March 12, 1956 in Scioto County to Jimmy and Rhoda Barnett. He was the middle child of nine siblings. Carl married Georgia (Helton) on August 11, 1974 and they had two children. Carl is survived by his wife of almost 47 years, his daughter April (Eric) Montgomery of Beaver, Ohio and his son Jay (Jen) Barnett of Beaver, Ohio. Carl was Pap to seven grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Logan, CJ, Evan, Ethan, Bailey, Samuel and Bailey Barker. Carl is also survived by seven siblings, Thelma, Irene, Mikey, Shirley, Dennis, Ronnie, and Bertha, and many nieces and nephews who will miss their Uncle Bubby. Carl is preceded in death by his parents Jimmy and Rhoda and also by one sister, Glenna.
Carl always called Pike County home. He was always active with life and loved the Lord. He owned and operated a salvage yard that people would come from miles away because he was fair and knowledgeable with auto advice. Carl's true passion was being in the woods, being a Timber Man. It was hard work, and he was no stranger to working hard. Carl loved auctions and trade days. He  always helped people whenever he could. Carl always enjoyed the many talks with his brothers and closest friends in the garage. The only thing Carl loved more than the woods was his family, they were his world. Carl fought and won battles with cancer three times. To say the least, Carl was a very strong man and he will be greatly missed. 
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday August 13, 2021 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Henry Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Germany Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Thursday August 12, 2021 at the funeral home.
