Bonadean (Hoosier) Harris went home to be with the Lord Saturday May 21, 2022 at her home on SR 335, Beaver, Ohio at 5:30 P.M. following an extended illness. “Bonnie” as she was known to family and friends, was born September 24, 1943 in Massieville, Ohio to the late Rev. Elias and Ora Hoosier. On June 3, 1960 she married Douglas Harris Sr. who preceded her in death. Of this union came four children, Beretta Strong, Brenda Havens, Rose Mary Harris and Douglas Harris Jr., four grandchildren, Ryan, Kim, Devon, and one deceased granddaughter, Patricia Flanery, seven great-grandchildren, Jealousy, Cody, Laguna, Wyatt, Gracie and Aires, and one deceased great-grandson, Ryder Flanery. Also surviving are five siblings, Maria Hoosier, Daisy (Joe) Tanner, Eleanor Harris, Mary Elizabeth Harris and Herbert (Hazel) Hoosier.
Bonnie was a homemaker. She spent her time loving and caring for her family. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, and she loved to sing church hymns. She was a long standing member of the House of Prayer. She will be sadly missed by family and friends alike.
Visiting hours will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday May 25, 2022 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Harry Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Carrs Run Cemetery.
The family of Bonadine Harris would like to thank the hospice staff for all they did to bring comfort to the family during this time of great loss. God bless you all. The family also wishes to thank all others who provided support and kindness.
