Bobby Gene Alley, 77, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.
He was born April 17, 1944, in Lucasville, Ohio to the late Sim and Grace Alley. On March 20, 1962, he married Linda “Cookie” Alley who survives.
Also surviving are his sons, Terry (Cathy) Alley of Beaver, Dustten (Tyleah) Alley of Chillicothe, grandchildren, Tiara (Daniel) Silcott of Loris, South Carolina, TJ Alley of Beaver, Tanner (Kayla) Alley of Loris, South Carolina, step-grandchildren, Jordan Riffitt of Springfield, and Alexandria (Steven) Castle of Jackson, great-grandchildren, Lukas Silcott, Laylah and Landon Alley, Willow Alley and step-great-grandchildren Ember Castle and Odessa Yarbrough. His grandchildren were very special to him, and he loved them very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant son, Thomas Alley, his brothers William “Sprad”, Roger, Ben and Steve Alley and a sister, Barb Holsinger.
Bob was a devoted Christian and a Preacher of God’s word. He attended Stockdale Baptist Church, Givens Freewill Baptist Church and Pleasant Valley Community Church. He was a brick mason for over 40 years and a member of Local 55 in Columbus, Ohio. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by his family and all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Calling hours will be Monday, January 31, 2022, from noon until 2pm at Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver. A small funeral service and burial will follow at the Beaver Union Cemetery. The family has requested all attendees to wear masks during the services.
