It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Blaise Pope McDaniel, who departed this life peacefully on October 6, 2025, at the age of 79.
Blaise was born on June 4, 1946, in Loraine, Ohio to Eileen Violet McDaniel and Earl Gholston McDaniel.
He was a Physician Assistant (PA) in mental health and retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Chillicothe, Ohio.
He served in the Marines, Navy, and the National Guard. He was a proud Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Blaise was a devoted and loving father, grandparent, sibling, and friend.
He was known for his kindness, generosity, and his dedication to his family, Republican values, running his beagles, hunting, social connections, and spreading the gospel. He was also known dedication to the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union (CCCU), Chillicothe, Ohio.
Blaise is survived by siblings Richard Kane and Denise Brewster; his children Mark McDaniel, Matthew McDaniel, Jessica (Travis) Kildow, Olivia Schroeder-McDaniel and Jacob Schroeder-McDaniel. Also survived by grandchildren Gabriel Kildow, Gauge Kildow, Gideon Kildow, Addelyn and Ellynor McDaniel. Survived by niece Angela Gill and nephews David and Nathan Kane.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; also, brother in-law Larry Brewster, sister in-law Arlene Kane, and niece Tay Leonhardt.
A memorial service will be held on October 12th at Jefferson Avenue Church beginning at 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Jefferson Avenue Church in Blaise's memory.
