Betty Lou (McDaniel) Rigsby

Betty Lou Rigsby, age 80, of Piketon, Ohio, died Friday April 18, 2025 at her residence. She was born February 14, 1945 in Springfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late William O. “Babe” McDaniel and Helen Alice Rider McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harold Burt Rigsby on February 4, 2020. Surviving are three daughters, Jeannie (Blaine) Ross, Shelly (Pat) Ross, and Nettie (Steve) Lute, seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Norma Bond, a very special cousin, Phyllis “Mack” McCann, and her very special animal companion and loving dog, B.J. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Tyler Tolliver one great-grandchild, Clint Harris, one brother, William O. “Buck” McDaniel, and one sister, Judith Amlin.

Betty attended the Happy Hollow Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday April 23, 2025 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Danny Wooten and Daniel Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross Family Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. Tuesday April 22, 2025 at the funeral home.
