Betty Lou Remy

Betty Lou (Bobst) Remy, age 88, of Beaver, Ohio, passed away May 10, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 24, 1925 in Beaver, Ohio to Ezra and Gladys Bobst. She was a 1943 graduate of Beaver High School. On March 15, 1948 she married Aubrey Remy, who preceded her in death April 1995. They resided many years in Fairborn, Ohio, where they raised their five children, Keith (born 1949) Remy who resides in Fairborn, twins (born 1953) Karen (Rick) Kistner of Largo, Florida and Kathy (Ron) Rapp of Beaver, Marsha (born 1955) (Brian) Powers of Fairborn and John (born 1961) (Marcia) Remy of Beaver. Aubrey and Betty returned to the Beaver area where they made their retirement home. She had seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Ezra Damon Bobst II and two sisters, Vonberta Smith and Janis Hines. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday May 15, 2014 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Tim Hines officiating. Burial alongside Aubrey will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8:00 P.M. Wednesday May 14, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Betty's honor to the National Church Residences Home & Community Services Hospice, 681 E. Third St., Waverly, Ohio 45690.
