Betty Blair Obituary

Betty Louise Blair, 87, of Beaver, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning at Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon, Ohio. She was born August 2, 1925 in London, Ohio, a daughter of the late Grover and Edna Burns. Mrs. Blair married Curtis D. Blair on October 28, 1943. Curtis passed on June 23, 1998 after 54 years of marriage. Surviving are two sons, Curtis (Denise) Blair Jr. of Kingston, Ohio and Michael (Debbie) Blair of Frankfort, Ohio, six daughters, Mary (Doug) Brown of Beaver, Ohio, Jean (Dave) Pike of Stoutsville, Ohio, Jo (Phil) Buchanan of South Salem, Ohio, Linda (Tony) Rizzo of Jamestown, New York, Coralee (Allen) Bill of Lucasville, Ohio and Ruth Johnson of Clearwater, Florida, 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren as well as one expecting, and a sister, Ruth McAllister of Orlando, Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, James Blair, three brothers, Grover Leroy and Bobby Burns, and two sisters, Dora Burris and Irene Cox. Mrs. Blair was a member of the Word Alive Fellowship Church in Piketon, Ohio. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 12, 2013 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Richard Struckel officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery with fellowship following at Word Alive Fellowship Church. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Friday January 11, 2013 at the funeral home.
