Barbara Rapp Obituary

Mrs. Rapp passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at her Sharon Brooke residence. She was born December 12, 1940 in Watts Bar, Tennessee to the late Estelle and James Brooks. Mrs. Rapp was an RN at Licking Memorial Hospital, loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed antiques with a passion. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Lee Rapp, whom she married on June 11, 1956; daughter Sherry (Rapp) Culp of Louisville, Ky; three sons, Michael Rapp of Granville, Ohio, Brian Rapp of Granville, Ohio, Chris Rapp of Columbus, OH; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, one sister Joyce Wilder of Tucson, AZ; and two brothers, James Brooks of Chesapeake, Va.; and Bill Brooks of Las Vegas, NV. Newark: A visitation for Barbara J. Rapp, age 71, of Newark, will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, November 30, 2012, at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21St in Newark. Additional calling hours will be held at the Cox-Burkitt Funeral Home, 5846 Beaver Pike, Beaver, Ohio on Saturday, from 6-8PM and a funeral service will be held at 1PM, Sunday, at Cox-Burkitt Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Bapst officiating. Burial will take place at the Beaver Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Ohio Parkinson Association, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231-7661 or the Licking Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1320 West Main Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
