Barbara Ann Hoover, age 83, of Beaver, Ohio, died Saturday May 13, 2023 at the O.S.U. Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born July 25, 1939 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ernest P. McDonald and Sylvia Ater McDonald. Surviving are her children, Dean (Melody) Hoover of Wheelersburg, Ohio and Tammy Hoover of Beaver, Ohio, a grandson who she raised as a son, Heath Hoover of Beaver, Ohio, grandchildren Harvey (Telena) Bevins of Beaver, Ohio, David Bevins of Jackson, Ohio, Chase (Sarah) Hoover of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and Cameron “Buzz” Hoover of Wheelersburg, Ohio, great-grandchildren Bryce (Leah) Hoover of Beaver, Ohio, Audi Hoover of Beaver, Ohio, Ariona Bevins of Piketon, Ohio, Braelyn Bevins of Beaver, Ohio, Brea Bevins of Beaver, Ohio, Elijah Hoover of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and Oakleigh Hoover of Beaver, Ohio, one brother, James (Urslea) McDonald of Fairview, West Virginia, one sister, Paula McDonald of Newark, Ohio, a sister-in-law, Marcie McDonald of Charleston, West Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John McDonald and one sister, Sandra Kerns.
Barbara attended the Owl Creek Lighthouse Church when her health allowed. She loved her family and grandchildren dearly and was an Angel on Earth, always willing to give help to anyone in need.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday May 18, 2023 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Rodney Bapst officiating. Burial will follow in the South Webster Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 5-8:00 P.M. Wednesday May 17, 2023 and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
