Ada Davis Obituary

Ada Viola Gibson Davis, age 66, of Waverly, Ohio, died Wednesday July 8, 2015 at her daughter's residence. She was born January 11, 1949 in Lee County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Millard Isaac Gibson Sr. and Laura Viola Dean Gibson. Surviving are three children, Buffey (John) Spencer of Waverly, Ohio, Elizabeth (William Higgins) Madden of Hillsboro, Ohio and Lanzoe (Cindy Sanchez) Willey of Freeport, Texas, eight grandchildren, Robert (Tonya) Spencer, John (Crystal) Spencer, Heather (Jose) Garcia, Alisha Armstrong, Mikayla Willey, Nicholas A. Willey, Matthew A. Willey and Gracelyn Willey, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, four brothers, William Gibson, Dexter Gibson, Millard "Packy" Gibson Jr. and Chester Gibson, two sisters, Betty Lawson and Elizabeth "Sis" Hall, and a very special friend, Ronald Oxier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Leon "Peanut"Willey Jr., two brothers, Robert "Buster" Gibson and an infant brother. Mrs. Davis attended the New Life Church and Ministries in Hillsboro, Ohio and dedicated her life to family. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday July 10, 2015 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Bill Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 noon until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
